About The Role
Our Home services support people living with a disability who want to live independently by providing flexible living arrangements and tailoring supports to match the client’s and family/ carer’s needs. Our Community services support people with a disability to develop skills and experience within a community environment by matching supports to individuals and providing a range of programs that enable the achievement of personal goals and outcomes.
Reporting to the Executive General ManagerHome & Community, the General ManagerHome & Community (South) provides strategic leadership for the delivery of person-centred services for people living with a disability, that is in alignment with Endeavour Foundation’s mission, purpose and values and deliver on its strategic and operation objectives. The role is responsible for the regions from Gympie to the NSW border and west to Roma. Regular travel to sites is required. Duties include:
- Drive a culture of person-centred practice that puts the client at the heart of decision making which includes the contribution of families, carers, guardians and key individuals in a person’s life.
- Build the portfolio as a provider of practice excellence in the delivery of supported independent living and community support services for people living with disability.
- Work collaboratively to grow our client base in target segments while maintaining a strong focus on client retention.
- Optimise the asset base, utilisation of available supported accommodation and vacancy management through effective policy and governance.
- Optimise the provision of community services through effective business model planning, implementation and governance.
- Ensure operational viability through the successful management of finances including developing financial capability in leaders.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through innovation, learning and understanding of the individual needs of people living with disability and local market.
- Develop community partnerships and relationships to represent the organisation with external groups including community, government, peer organisations and corporate organisations.
About You
- Demonstrated senior leader experience within the human services sector
- Demonstrate transformational change leadership while encouraging continual and creative improvement.
- Prior experience within an industry or sector where scheduling, ratio management and effective workforce planning and implementation were key to financial success.
- Knowledge of NDIS practice excellence and legislation associated with the Disability Sector with proven capabilities in understanding and maximising complex funding schemes.
- Ability to analyse data to enable data driven decision making.
- Tertiary qualification in human sciences or equivalent is essential with post-graduate studies highly desirable.
