AddressMurroona Gardens Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Worker to join our team commencing on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, person-centered care to our clients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and creating a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Personal Care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and respectful relationship with clients, including transportation.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in clients' living spaces.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid police certificate.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (or willing to obtain).
