Right at Home provides high quality in-Home Care and assistance to our valued clients in the Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie & Moreton Bay regions. We support people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and cognitive decline, disabilities, post-operative care needs and older Australians. About the role
We currently have casual positions available for reliable and passionate Home Care Professionals to join our team. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Variety of shifts available including weekends and active overnights
- Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
- Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
- Preparing food, feeding clients and assisting medications
- Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
- Responding to emergency situations
Essential Criteria:
- High Care Need Experience (Desirable but not essential)
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (Desirable but not essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
Requirements:
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- Current Working with Children/Blue Card
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
- Comprehensive insurance (desirable)
- Double COVID Vaccination
Job Type: Casual
Salary: $37.14 – $81.70 per hour
Location: Gympie and the surrounding areas (Including Tin Can Bay, Cooloola Cove and Rainbow Beach).
