HOME CLEANING FOR LINK
Our team of cleaners help with light cleaning and housework to help our wide range of aged and disability clients live well at home. A clean home is important to everyone's Health and Wellbeing. Our clients' physical challenges shouldn't stop them having pride and comfort in where they live, and the joy of living in a healthy space.
Our Home Cleaner team adds to our diverse workforce of social workers, support staff, assisted transport drivers, and volunteer drivers and carers to help us deliver care in community that meets the needs of Victoria's older and disabled residents.
Home cleaners work closely with the LINK Operations Team to have clear instructions on where they need to be, and what they need to do. They work in accordance with procedures to deliver safe, effective, supportive and responsive services.

You will be assigned to work in a specific area which will ideally be close to your own home, but may need to be flexible from time to time.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning houses each day from an assigned schedule provided to you by the operations team
- Being friendly and kind to clients as you provide cleaning services
- Working legally, safely and considerately
- Providing feedback to LINK's Operations Team if you find a client unwell or upset, or if the client is not home at the appointed time
- Maintaining two-way contact with the Operations Team through our service app as specified in training
- Comply with LINK’s Management Systems and legislative mandates
- Working to a provided task list that may include items such as:
- Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
- General tidy up
- Putting the rubbish out
- Cleaning meals preparation surfaces
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Doing the laundry
- Changing bed sheets
- Checking basic supplies and use-by dates in the fridge and pantry
- Helping with pet care
- And assisting with other minor cleaning requests made by the client.
WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Home Cleaners have a responsibility and accountability to the General Manager Operations for safe work practices involving the following WHS requirements:
- Comply with LINK’s Workplace Health and safety management system, and ensuring compliance with all site safety rules, policies and procedures, and relevant legislation
- Reporting WHS matters – Identify and report issues, incidents, near-misses, injuries and hazards in the workplace immediately
- Work Environment – Ensure self and others are provided with, appropriately wear and maintain personal protective equipment where required. Carry out work in a safe manner; adhere to all safety instructions, participate in risk assessments, incident investigations and safety training.
SELECTION CRITERIA / COMPETENCIES
- Valid Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle to enable you to attend clients' homes.
- Comfort in providing home cleaning services, with ideally at least 2 years experience and current competence in cleaning services.
- Ability to meet compliance standards (we will help you!):
- Satisfactory Police Check
- Working With Children Check clearance
- NDIS employment clearances
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate
