About You: 

We are looking for empathic Support Workers who will travel to different client homes and provide clients with assistance, support, and encouragement of independence to reside in their chosen community.

As a support worker, you be required to:

• Work well with all ages. (children/teens/adults and the elderly)
• Have a nurturing and empathetic nature.
• Experience within the Homecare sector and NDIS is preferred but not essential. 
• Understanding of psychosocial disabilities is preferred but not essential. 
• Help with domestic assistance, meal preparation and shopping.
• Assist with transport to and from errands, providing companionship and social support.
• Personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care.
• Be committed to providing consumer directed care.  

Mandatory Requirements:

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Home and Community Care (HACC), or equivalent
• Current Federal Police Check
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Current Covid vaccination and state government booster requirements 
• Unrestricted driver’s licence 
• Reliable vehicle
• Full Comprehensive Insurance
• Current paid employee Blue Card 
• Current paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance.
• Smart phone with internet access
• Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references. One of those references will be required from a Supervisor/ Management role.
