Home Economics Assistant - Permanent; Full-time, 37.5hrs per week; 40 weeks per year
As the Home Economics Assistant you will be responsible for operational, administrative, technical and teacher support to the Home Economics faculty. This involves support to teaching staff, maintaining faculty resources and supplies, preparing class materials, and set up/clean-up of teaching kitchens and classrooms.
Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and sensitively with students, staff and parents
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and environments
- Proven ability to work successfully on a broad range of tasks with limited supervision
- Proven ability to work as an effective team member.
To be successful in this role you will have experience in operating in a kitchen classroom environment or similar and demonstrate experience in the preparation of food for cooking.
