About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our family in Southport on the Gold Coast. This casual position will support a family member with an illness, contributing to their comfort and well-being. The role includes not only personal care but also meal preparation and general domestic duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and support to the family member, including personal hygiene assistance, medication management, and companionship.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining an orderly living environment.
- Monitor the health condition of the family member and report any changes to the family.
- Assist with the coordination of medical appointments and provide transportation if necessary.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for the family member.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a caregiving role essential.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification is highly regarded.
- A current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and resilient personality.
