Your Purpose

The Home Lending Product team within Home Lending aims to develop experiences that create genuine value for customers and growth for the Home Lending portfolio that our people are proud of and deliver sustainable outcomes for shareholders and communities. The Home Lending Regulatory Advisor is an industry specialist and product subject matter expert across regulatory change.

In this role you will support the Product Lifecycle Manager by supporting the Compliance obligations for Home Lending Product and ensure compliance by contributing to the identification and assessment of regulatory change impacting Home Lending, and the Bank value-chain.

What you’ll do

  • Providing advice and designing effective processes and controls for adherence to our obligations and regulatory change.
  • Act as a key stakeholder to regulator and industry body engagement on change.
  • Impacting Home Lending, ensuring Home Lending and the Bank are aware of change and anticipate the change through appropriate planning.
  • Regularly reassessing the control environment against our obligations to ensure effective adherence and for great customer outcomes.
  • Acting in an open, honest and transparent way with Bank regulators and industry bodies, whilst presenting a professional and informed position for the Bank.
  • Represent HL Product in all Bank Reg Compliance forums, working groups etc.
  • Analysing regulatory requirements to determine the impact to Home Lending.
  • Providing advice to the HLLT regarding our regulatory obligations.
  • Reviewing, designing and monitoring robust processes to meet compliance obligations of regulator and industry bodies.
  • Designing processes for the effective co-ordination of feedback for regulator and industry body requests for information, queries, reporting and obligation changes across Home Lending Product.
  • Obtaining specialist advice from key stakeholders in Program Management Office, Compliance and Legal to support deliverables.
  • Managing/co-ordinating regulatory change requirements for Banking regulators and industry bodies for Home Lending Product.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for key compliance obligations for SML, including but not limited to Banking Code of Practice.

What you’ll need to bring

  • University level qualification in related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in banking or financial services with a strong focus on Compliance.
  • Superior stakeholder skills, including co-ordination of key programs of work or projects.
  • Intermediate understanding of Suncorp Policies, Frameworks and Standards.
  • Intermediate understanding of regulation and legislation related to a Bank.
