About the roleAs the Home Support Administration Officer, you will work under general direction from the Coordinator, Home Support Team to provide operational support to aid clients under “Better Together Support at Home” including, the Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages and other brokered services.
The Home Support Administration Officer primarily operates from the office, collaborating with Home Support Staff who carry out their duties in the field and our workshop.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be expected to set work priorities, plan, organise, and monitor your work and provide support to management and staff within your area of responsibility including but not limited to:
- Schedule client related maintenance and modification work under government agreements and fee for service arrangements.
- Schedule and coordinate Home Support Team field officers to carry out work in the field.
- Receive and reply to correspondence from providers, suppliers and clients.
- Liaise closely with the Coordinator – Home Support Team to engage referral agencies and the local community.
- Prepare quotations for works and seek quotations for outsourced works as required.
- Enter accurate data into Better Together IT portals including internal client relationship management (CRM) systems for reporting purposes and operate as required within the appropriate government portals.
- Support the Coordinator – Home Support Team to ensure work is done to meet safety and client satisfaction and within funding guidelines.
- Support the Coordinator – Home Support Team to ensure work is conducted within any clinical or practice guidelines. For example, modifications to OT specifications
- Work closely with the Client Intake Team to resolve any client or provider queries.
- Provide accurate, succinct, and timely reports on all aspects of your area of responsibility to the Coordinator – Home Support Team.
- Ensure all processes are adhered to and all documentation completed as required

Qualifications
- Relevant further education and/or substantial relevant years’ experience
- Aged Care experience is desirable.
- Current class C driver’s licence.
- Capacity to obtain a Blue Card and undergo an acceptable National Police Check.
- High level knowledge and experience with Microsoft suite including email and excel spreadsheets.
- Ability and willingness to use and learn a variety of software including client management systems.
- Awareness of My Aged Care processes
- Awareness of Aged Care Legislation
- Awareness of contemporary principles and practices of trades safety
- Capable of examining and comprehending pertinent Australian standards.
- Managing priorities and performance in a professional manner
- Experience in providing relevant administrative support within the building industry is highly regarded.
