A middle management opportunity with a local homelessness NFP, offering salary sacrificing and 5 weeks leave
Your new company
Your new company is a well established homelessness not-for-profit, offering a range of services to those currently homeless, or at risk of homelessness. They're currently recruiting for a Centre Coordinator to manage their day drop in centre.
Your new role
Your new role will report directly to the Program Manager. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for coordinating daily operations at the Centre, including managing rosters to ensure coverage of essential centre-based duties and seamless integration with outreach activities.
- Oversee all administrative and quality assurance functions, including record-keeping, cash handling, invoicing, receipting, and goods management.
- Supervise volunteers, admin staff and Centre Cook.
- Assist with routine matters such as walk-in enquiries, mobile phone charging, toiletries distribution, and vending machine maintenance.
- Coordinate diverse wellbeing group activities, maintain links with relevant organisations, and prioritise client needs through referrals and improved outcomes for homeless individuals.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualifications in Community Services or Management preferred, but not essential
- Knowledge of the community services sector and understanding of the issues facing those currently homeless, or at risk of homelessness
- Experience providing culturally appropriate support services to Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Blue card, first aid certificate and current police check, or ability to obtain
