Elme Living is a fast-growing homeware wholesaler providing high quality artificial plants, floral stems and arrangements, homeware and furniture products Australia wide.

We are an experienced and knowledgeable team from within the wholesale industry and are dedicated in creating the ultimate customer experience for our retail buyers.

 

The Role

We have a rare opportunity for a talented and creative Homewares Buyer to join our Blackburn team, on a full-time basis.

As a new Elme Living Homewares Buyer, you will report directly to the CEO and work in collaboration with the buying team. You will manage, and assist in managing, key relationships with suppliers to ensure stability and growth for our products within the Homewares category, aligning with the Elme Living style, value, and direction.

The role has a strong focus on best practice of customer service, exceeding the expected and requires a strong knowledge of MSOffice skills, particularly Excel in data analytics.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Sourcing and developing new homewares product lines that align with Elme Living style and value, delivering growth with product stability and quality.
  • Liaising with suppliers obtaining quotations, reviewing cost against quality and quantity.
  • Process costings to evaluate viability within the product range, group, and market.
  • Analyse sales data and evaluate for product and category recommendations.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Availability for international sourcing trips and attend industry trade fairs.
  • Assist in the management of product data for web and Sales team tools.
  • Assist in photography of products for both individual product and styling images.
  • Sample management.
  • Data cleanse/integrity.

 

About you

  • A minimum of 4 years in a buying role, with a preference of working with furniture and or homewares being advantageous. 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. 
  • A customer centric team player approach to your work, along with a strong ability to support and work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced computer skills covering MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
