About the position
The City of Gosnells is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Parks Operations team. As part of a committed team, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining horticultural excellence within the City’s parks and gardens.
In this role, you will support the team leader and supervisor by providing horticultural technical expertise and maintaining landscapes, turf areas and streetscapes to a high standard.
This permanent position is based at the City’s Operations Centre in Maddington.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant industry experience in horticultural operations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in horticultural maintenance role delivering quality services.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of staff and customers.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Essential requirements
- White Card
- Current “MR” Class driver’s licence
- Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role, but it will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
- Certificate III or higher qualification in Horticulture or equivalent.
Desirable requirements
- Forklift / Loader / Chainsaw tickets.
Candidates may also be considered for future similar positions if they become available within the next six months.
