Horticulturist

Experienced Horticulturist/Business Partner wanted!

Unique opportunity to become a partner in a well-established business that has potential forgrowth.

Experienced and qualified horticulturist (single or couple) to buy into a wholesale nursery on the central tablelands. As a business of over 35 years standing and 

retail customers.

The role requires someone who has a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a 

horticulturist and who is confident in being jointly responsible for managing all aspects of a large wholesale nursery.

This includes:

 Accountability for plant production

 Comprehensive knowledge of planting and chemical management /application – pest and disease control programmes

 Expertise in plant nutrition

 Production forecasting and record keeping

 Supervision and motivation of staff

Personal qualities:

 Highly motivated and detail orientated

 Able to think on your feet and to manage conflicting priorities effectively

 Able work alone and liaise with clients

 Demonstrated work ethic, reliability, punctuality and honesty

 Physically fit and willing to put in long hours when necessary
