We're on the lookout for a Horticulturist to join our team based at our Pimpama Depot in a role dedicated to carrying out weed spraying activities daily.
If you are a qualified and experienced Horticulturist this could be your opportunity to become part of our team who are dedicated to landscape maintenance and improvements in our parks, open space areas and road reserves.
How you’ll make a difference
You will work independently on most days as a Spray Operator but will be required to assist the other crews from time to time with general horticulture maintenance such as:
- Planting, pruning, mulching, hedging, removing green waste, spraying herbicides/weed removal and operating equipment such as leaf blowers, chainsaws and pole saws.
- Demonstrate behaviours that contribute to a positive and successful team.
- Follow established work practices and consistently deliver high quality work.
What you bring to your new role
- Certificate II or higher in Horticulture/Conservation and Land Care Management/Arboriculture and relevant industry experience.
- C Class Drivers Licence.
- WHS General Construction White Card.
- Be a team player with strong communication skills.
- Have a high level of motivation and initiative, with the ability to work unsupervised.
