Job description
The opportunity:To construct and/or maintain Council's road
network and other assets to the required service level standards through the
provision of plant operations and labour support with a particular focus on
weed spraying.Key responsibilities:SprayingUndertake planned and adhoc spraying activities to ensure Booringa's road network and streets are presentable and meets Council's service level standards.Plant OperationSafely operate Council's plant and equipment as per the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and Council's policies and procedures.Undertake regular servicing and maintenance for plant, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal capacity and efficiency levels and avoid unnecessary operational downtime.Report any faults through Council's fault reporting system.Maintain plant records as per Council's Integrated Maranoa Management System (IMMS) and plant management policies and procedures.Undertake any required plant inductions and assessments.Operate a variety of handheld tools and machinery.Labour SupportUndertake general labour duties and participate in multi-skilled team tasks as required.Perform work site preparation and clean up.Contribute to the setup of traffic control signage as per Council's traffic control plans.Interdepartmental SupportProvide support and assistance to the local development officers with the delivery of community-based projects and partnership programs.Complete tasks required to ensure Council's Service Level Agreements (SLA) is met between other Departments and Directorates within Council.About working with Council:Mitchell, QldFull time, permanent position - 38 hours per weekFortnightly Rostered Days Off5 weeks annual leave15 days personal leaveAbout you:To be successful you will need to demonstrate
