What you'll be doing
- To ensure areas are cleaned as per the Environmental Cleaning Standards Operating Procedures, to stop the risk of infection to staff, patients and visitors.
- Provide a range of cleaning services, to maintain the cleanliness of Broken Hill Hospital.
- General cleaning duties which include toilets, hand basins, offices, consult rooms, waiting rooms, doors and door frames, sweeping, mopping, windows, vacuuming, dusting, removal of waste, restock toiletries.
- Carry out (terminal) Infectious Cleans as required as per Environmental Cleaning Standard Operating Procedures.
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possibly:
- Demonstrated previous experience in cleaning.
- Demonstrate knowledge of infection control practices.
- Ability and commitment to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrate an understanding of WHS & Manual Handling.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work on a 7 day rotating roster.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and/or relevant professional standards where applicable
