What we’re looking for
Our successful candidates will provide a high level of cleaning and servicing to patients rooms and the Hospital environment. The role is based Hospital wide and requires excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
The role will include but is not limited to;
- Facilitation of effective teamwork within Environmental Services
- Ability to act as a Role Model to other staff
- Contribute to the safety of the workplace and safety of other staff members within Hurstville Private Hospital.
- Ensure compulsory compliance with health and safety issues of all Housekeeping staff.
- Work in both an individual capacity and as part of a team
Ideally you will have the following
Essential Criteria
- Preferred at least 1 year experience in a hospital cleaning or Housekeeping role
- Good verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Impeccable personal presentation and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritise workload appropriately
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills including; ability to take initiative, application of problem solving, and capability in decision making
- Exceptional knowledge and application of customer service principles
- Knowledge of infection control principals
- Flexible availability for AM and PM shifts
- Immunisation Evidence (including full Covid vaccination and seasonal Influenza) and additional serology report
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge and understanding of chemical safety standards
- Experience and ability working and interacting with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
