The opportunity:
We are looking for a pharmacy technician to join our Slade team in the Newcastle and Hunter Region on a 12-month contract. Home based to our Lingard private site, but the potential to travel to our other sites within the Newcastle and Hunter region. Flexible days for the right candidate working 4-5 days/week.

This is an amazing opportunity to further develop your dispensing career and gain experience in a clinical setting through the support and training of our collaborative team. In this role, you’ll:

• Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients
• Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
• Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
• Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff
• Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
• Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
• Assist with patient account enquiries

Eligibility Requirements:

• Previous experience dispensing medication
• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
