Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified change agent and organisational specialist to play a key role in changing the healthcare story supporting the organisation to transition to the new $115M Maryborough Hospital Development. - The Hospital Redevelopment Transition Lead is responsible for coordinating the planning, preparation and move for the clinical and non-clinical services to the new Hospital Redevelopment. The role will ensure the smooth transition to the new Maryborough Hospital by building relationships with the acute, community and support services departments to support the development of their respective transition requirements, training/education plans, change management plans and ‘go-live’ logistics needs for the move!

Hospital Development Transition Lead

Fixed Term- Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight – To Commence 1st April 2024 Until 27th June 2025

Classification: HS5-HS6

Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified change agent and organisational specialist to play a key role in changing the healthcare story supporting the organisation to transition to the new $115M Maryborough Hospital Development  - The Hospital Redevelopment Transition Lead is responsible for coordinating the planning, preparation and move for the clinical and non-clinical services to the new Hospital Redevelopment.

The role will ensure the smooth transition to the new Maryborough Hospital by building relationships with the acute, community and support services departments to support the development of their respective transition requirements, training/education plans, change management plans and ‘go-live' logistics needs for the move. The role will support the executive and leadership teams to resolve transition operational challenges and clarify and manage risk by anticipating issues.

The role will work closely with the Projects teams delivering the Furniture, Fittings and Equipment and Information and Communications Technology packages to ensure equipment and systems are ready for the new hospital “go-live”.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in business, organisational change management, or a related field or demonstrated equivalent work experience and or
  • 5 plus years in senior healthcare or project roles

Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

  • Extensive recent experience leading operational transition for a major project in a complex and stakeholder centric environment.
  • Understand the delivery of technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, foster good relations, obtain feedback and ensure on-going co-operation.
  • Proven experience in change management, organisational development, or a related role.
  • Ability to develop creative and visual change, learning, and communication collateral.
  • Highly developed project management skills, including the ability to create a project timeline and maintain those deadlines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to effectively manage, coordinate and prioritise tasks.
  • Exceptional customer service capabilities with the ability to troubleshoot methodically and escalate incidents when appropriate to meet business objectives.

 Desirable

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of statutory and clinical safety requirements in healthcare settings.
  • Prince 2, ITIL, Project Change Management (PMP) certification.
