Sirrom provides high quality hospitality solutions for all types of workforces within remote villages throughout Australia.  Everyday is a new day, and we strive to provide great food, service and a “home away from home” lifestyle for the hard working.

Sirrom manages small, medium and large accommodation and catering facilities providing remote workers with high quality services for them to enjoy great food from breakfast, lunch and dinner, clean accommodation and facilities, with some sites providing on-sight health and wellness activities - gyms, pools, tennis courts and many other on-site activities available, to help them relax after a hard day in remote locations.

Due to our current growth, we are actively recruiting culinary professionals to join our team within our accommodation villages across multiple locations in Queensland, Mackay & Bowen Basin and surrounds.

About You

• Do you have a passion and flair for hospitality?
• ​Ensuring the quality of cleaning and food preparation is of a high standard at all times.
• Ensuring site compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Happy to jump in and assist the team as a whole as required?
• Physically fit and able to work 10 hours per day.
• Current manual driver's licence and own reliable transport
• Hold a current Food Safety Certificate
• Combined Housekeeping + kitchenhand roles, desired

The Successful Candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Admin (RMS Booking System or similar experience preferred)
• Housekeeping Supervisor (must be at a supervisory level, work autonomously & be able to manage a large team)
• Housekeeping and or Kitchenhand experience, desired.
• Proven track record of following safety policies and procedures.
• Good time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.
• Positive can-do attitude, be flexible and adaptable with the drive to work as part of a great team.

Minimum Requirements for all positions:

• Accredited Food Handler's Certificate (Food and Bev + Kitchen Attendant roles)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
• Ability to pass a National Police Clearance
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia

Current Roles Available

• 1 x Admin/Guest Services Officers (RMS Booking System or similar experience preferred)
• 1 x Housekeeping Supervisor (Minimum 3 yrs. experience in similar experience preferred)
• Multiple permanent full-time Kitchenhand Attendant and Housekeeper positions available across various sites throughout Queensland.

14:7 (14 days on 7 days off) rosters available or happy to discuss casual roster.  
There are no permanent rooms, you must leave camp on your days off.

We are offering a highly competitive hourly rate. Accommodation and meals provided only whilst rostered on.

One of our goals for 2024 is to build on our current network within Facilities Management by employing and empowering new dynamic employees that can add real value to each of our operations as we continue to grow and develop.
