About the Role:Our Catering Team Leaders are responsible for the successful delivery of meals to both inmates and staff. Catering Team Leaders will provide direction to inmates employed within the kitchen area. This is largely a supervisory position, although some catering tasks may need to be completed by you in this role. Successful applicants will provide leadership and direction as well as monthly reporting on the inmate workers' progress, attitude and participation.
We have Full-time, Part-Time and Casual roles available, with both weekday and weekend work of 6, 8, or 10 hour shifts, scheduled between 6:30 am-4:30 pm. The full-time role is based around a six-week roster, working ten-hour shifts totalling 80 hours over a two week pay period.

Skills and Experience:Our successful candidates will have:
- Experience of bulk food preparation, cooking and presentation in a commercial environment.
- The ability to ensure that meals are of satisfactory quality in accordance with a a dietician approved menu.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience in basic computer packages; including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Required to learn in house software and HACCP Registers.
- Ability to satisfactorily supervise inmate workers with their day to day kitchen duties.
- Willing to learn to cater for different religions, cultures and nationalities.
- Ability to coordinate, supervise and motivate inmates to better their kitchen knowledge.
- Ability to make a quick decision and exercise initiative when under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task.
- This position can include cooking for 100 staff members on a day to day basis, receiving and rotating stock contract and inmate cooking supervision.
- Experience or aptitude to adopt HACCP/ISO 22000 principles and quality assurance processes.
