Sirrom provides high quality hospitality solutions for all types of workforces within remote villages throughout Australia.  Everyday is a new day, and we strive to provide great food, service and a “home away from home” lifestyle for the hard working.

Sirrom manages small, medium and large accommodation and catering facilities providing remote workers with high quality services for them to enjoy great food from breakfast, lunch and dinner, clean accommodation and facilities, with some sites providing on-sight health and wellness activities - gyms, pools, tennis courts and many other on-site activities available, to help them relax after a hard day in remote locations.

Due to our current growth, we are actively recruiting culinary professionals to join our team within our accommodation villages across multiple locations in NSW, Newcastle, Cessnock, Kurri Kurri & surrounds.

About You

• Do you have a passion and flair for hospitality?
• ​Ensuring the quality of cleaning in housekeeping & food preparation is of a high standard at all times.
• Ensuring site compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Happy to jump in and assist the team as a whole as required?
• Physically fit and able to work 10 - 12 hours per day.
• Current manual driver's licence and own reliable transport
• Hold a current Food Safety Certificate, desire

DIDO Chef

Min Qualifications Cert III (Line) or IV in Commercial Cookery equivalent. The role consists of be able to manage to kitchen independently, have vast experience in Bulk Catering Experience, ensuring consistency and excellence in food presentation standards for Breakfast, Crib, Dinner and Desserts. You must be camp fit - experience working 14 days straight, 10-12 hours per day.

Admin/ Reservationist

The role consists of organizing all accommodation bookings (vast experience with RMS booking system highly desirable), check-in/ check-out, group bookings, key management, reporting, dealing with client and guest relations, customer resolution focused, working closely alongside our management, housekeeping team & other departments to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.

Kitchenhands/ Housekeeper

The role consists of supporting our catering and housekeeping team in a hybrid role consisting of food preparation, making fruit platters, salads and crib meals, assisting Chefs when directed, keeping high standards for food safety and hygiene, cleaning and tidying service areas, assisting with unloading deliveries, stocktakes and other ad hoc jobs in the catering team & with the housekeeping team consisting of cleaning accommodation rooms (ensuited dongas), general housekeeping, striping and remaking beds, general cleaning duties of ensuites, floors, walls and laundry.

You will need your own reliable transport (car) + licence for this role. 

Minimum Requirements for all positions:

• Accredited Food Handler's Certificate 
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
• Ability to pass a National Police Clearance
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia

Current Roles Available

• 1 x DIDO Chef position (Cert III Qualified and be able to manage kitchen on your own
• 1 x Admin Role (vast experience with RMS booking system highly desirable)
• 3 x combined Kitchenhand Attendant and Housekeeper positions.

14:7 (14 days on 7 days off) rosters available.  There are no permanent rooms, you must leave camp on your days off.

Please note: This is a drive in / drive out positions.  There are no accommodation or meals provided onsite. Locals are encouraged to apply !

We are offering a highly competitive salary for our chefs and admin. Our combined Kitchenhand Attendant are offered a competitive full time hourly rate (Ave 10 hrs. per day) - casual roles can be discussed. 

One of our goals for 2024 is to build on our current network within Facilities Management by employing and empowering new dynamic employees that can add real value to each of our operations as we continue to grow and develop.
