About the RoleIRT is investing in our leadership capability, creating an exciting opportunity for a Hospitality Team Leader (Aged Care Employee- level 5) to lead the planning, ordering, preparation and compliance of our site-based food service, laundry and cleaning operations.
We are looking to appoint interested and enthusiastic individuals to work in in our Aged Care Centers at IRT Dalmeny: Permanent Part time role with minimum 30 hours per week.
Your work will include:
- Leading, mentoring and supervising hospitality employees, including reviewing performance
- Responsibility for the planning, ordering and overseeing the preparation of all meals (complying with resident dietary requirements) and light refreshments to ensure residents enjoy a quality food experience
- Ensuring food safety documentation is complete and that all work practices meet HACCP requirements. Ensure all corrective actions are completed with specified timeframes
- Ensuring deliveries are received and processed in accordance with IRT food safety plan
- Monitoring IRT cleaning contractor team members to ensure cleaning standards are met
- Ensure the management and delivery of hospitality services meets Aged Care Quality Standards and is in line with IRT's policies and procedures
- Participating in the recruitment, selection and orientation of team members in line with IRT's policies and procedures
- Certificate IV in Hospitality (or similar)
- Certificate IV in Leadership & Management (or willingness to obtain)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Sound verbal, written, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, negotiating and organisational skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise own work and/or work of others to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality and Food Safety Standards
