Who We're Looking For
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Ayers Rock Resort in Uluru. This is a rare opportunity as this position has never been advertised before. In this role, you will oversee all daily food production and operations of Desert Gardens Hotel's Kitchen and its 20 chefs’ brigade. Your goal will be to provide excellent products and services to our guests, while also driving sustainable and profitable outlets.
To be eligible for this position, you are required to have the skills and experience outlined below:
- Five years of experience as a Hotel Head Chef and hold a qualified Chef Certificate IV in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
- Previous experience in 5-star Hotel
- Customer & Supplier relationship skills
- Financial skills, including budget management.
- Excellent leadership
- Communication skills
- Can manage conflicting priorities.
- Lead by example
- Work collaboratively within a cross-cultural and complex environment.
- Knowledge of native Australian ingredients
- Passion for cooking with an hands-on approach
