About the organisation:
Caloundra House is the Sunshine Coast's premier level III supported accommodation facility providing a safe, stable and dynamic community environment for people facing various challenges in life.

Our onsite staff provide round the clock assistance to our residents in a respectful, caring and charming home away from home environment.

Essentially, our clients require assistance with daily living skills. This assistance is provided in an environment that is respectful and caring. Residents are encouraged to become a part of this tightly knit supportive community whilst retaining their individuality. We help individuals to meet their full potential through full integration with government and non-government support agencies and in-house community-focused needs.

About the role:
Caloundra House is a fully accredited Level III residential supported accommodation facility. As House Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support and provision of services for residents with varying needs and levels of support requirements.

The role's overall purpose is to provide high quality support and services to our residents while enhancing their quality of life.

  • This position requires sleepover shifts.
  • You will be trained and expected to assist in the delivery of medication.
  • We are seeking a professional and motivated person with a 'can do' attitude.
The ideal candidate will possess:
We are seeking a self-motivated, confident, and pro-active individual that possesses an understanding and ability to demonstrate respect, professionalism and compassion within a level III Supported Accommodation environment which provides assistance and support to residents.

To be successful, you'll require excellent negotiation, problem solving and decision making skills, in at times challenging situations. Also essential to the role will be documentation, reporting and intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office.

  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate;
  • A current National Police Clearance Certificate/NDIS Workers Screening – or the ability to obtain;
  • A passion for people and for creating a harmonious and efficient working environment;
  • Experience in working with and managing people who have various life challenges;
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves;
  • High personal, professional and ethical standards;
  • An ability and willingness to learn relevant legislation, regulations and professional standards;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
