Housekeeper And Family Assistant

We are a busy working couple seeking a reliable and dedicated household manager to help maintain our home and help us focus on raising three wonderful children aged 4-9.

Position: Casual Household Manager Location: Summerhill Salary: $30 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Creating a weekly meal plan, including breakfast, lunch boxes, and five dinners for the week, ensuring all groceries are purchased.
• Preparing and pre-cutting ingredients required for meals and lunch boxes for the week, ensuring efficiency and convenience.
• Managing laundry, including putting away clean clothes and ensuring a continuous cycle of washing when necessary.
• Making dinner on designated nights as agreed upon.
• Our family includes 2 guinea pigs and a friendly dog who also provides unconditional love.
• Assisting with kitchen cleanup before and after dinner on those evenings when cooking.
• Preparing school lunch boxes for the following day and ensuring they are unpacked upon return.
• Our family has had the same cleaner 2 days a week for almost a decade. She will continue for the main cleaning and ironing tasks. However, some tidying of toys and surface cleaning would be expected.

Requirements:

• Comfortable cooking and preparing some vegetarian meals.
• With a focus on meal planning, preparation & keeping the household tidy.
• Previous experience in household management and looking after children. Or having the right positive can-do attitude.
• Preparing 3 school lunch boxes each day.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise effectively.
• Valid driver's license so can do occasional school pickups and for brief periods of nannying the children if both parents schedules clash. Unless can show alternative transport options
• First aid and CPR certification preferred. Or willing to undertake this at no charge to yourself.
• Working with children card, or be willing to undertake this at no charge to yourself.
