Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves leading the housekeeping team as well as hands on work in the delivery of housekeeping and room attendant services for the hotel rooms/apartments and cleaning of common areas to ensure the presentation of our property is in line with our brand standards.

In this role as Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible for

  • Overseeing the operation of the Housekeeping Department
  • Managing the department in all aspects of the operational and financial performance to ensure the department services are delivered with the aim of exceeding guest expectations to both guests and internal customers
  • Communicate, monitor, evaluate and modify the quality and consistency of service to continuously meet and improve service standards, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic and operating plans for the business
  • Foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging employees to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests
  • Rostering and managing budgets within the Housekeeping department
  • Recruiting and training of your team members
  • Setting, implementing and reviewing service standards and procedures to ensure they are consistently being met
  • Analysing and responding to feedback, guest satisfaction and employee satisfaction information; and give a positive commitment to continuous improvement of product and performance

To be successful you will require: 

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience with rostering and performance management required
  • Knowledge of room allocation procedures
  • The ability to multi task and deliver exceptional communication with all levels of the organisation
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Great motivator and communicator
  • Be able to manage labour costs and expenses
  • High presentation standards
  • Drive Revenue
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic workplace
  • Passion to train and develop your team
  • Flexibility with rostering including working public holidays and weekends
