Housekeeping / Room attendant

Mercure Ballarat Hotel & Convention Centre is looking for housekeeping attendants to join the team.

Our expansive resort style property includes standard rooms, apartments, cottage including our newly renovated superior rooms —all set within the stunning landscaped gardens across the property. We are currently seeking experienced housekeeping staff / Room attendants to join our housekeeping team and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Position Requirements:

• Cleaning guest rooms; including bedrooms, bathrooms, floors, and corridors to the hotels high standards.
• Ensuring towels and linen are refilled, replaced and stored correctly
• Vacuuming, deep cleaning, dusting, changing bed linen, and replenishing the amenities
• Ensure each room is cleaned within the allocated timeframe
• Work with other departments to ensure pantries, corridors and service areas are kept in good condition.
• Report maintenance requirements
• Reporting any lost property following correct hotel procedures
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
• Using correct chemicals for cleaning purposes using safe work practices
• Ensuring all WH&S policies and procedures are followed

You will possess:

• Have availability to work a minimum of at least 3 weekdays, public holidays and weekends.
• The ability to work hard and have a strong work ethic
• Ability to work within time allocations whilst maintaining quality
• Have a very strong eye for detail
