The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Operations Manager in effectively managing all areas of the Housekeeping department. This is a part time role that will require early morning starts and weekend work approx. 60 hours per fortnight across a fortnightly roster..
HOUSEKEEPING TRAINING SUPERVISOR
In this role, you will not only be someone who trains and supervises the Housekeeping Teams, you will also be responsible for the daily workflow of the department and serving as a link between guests, employees and management.
The ideal candidate will be a competent individual with a minimum of two years' experience in the Housekeeping/Hospitality industry and who possesses the below skills and attributes to compliment the current Housekeeping Management team on a daily basis and in their absence:
- Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions such as training and supervision of employees, laundry operations, room attending and public area cleaning
- Excellent verbal and written communication to ensure staff understand their duties and delegated tasks
- Monitor productivity and provide constructive feedback and training to optimise the output of the room attendants
- Outstanding organisational and leadership skills to manage the team and stock control
- Attention to detail & basic computer skills required
Duties
- Check cleaned rooms to ensure they meet the NETANYA standard
- Train and motivate team members on a daily basis
- Monitor productivity and provide constructive feedback and training to optimise the output of the room attendants
- Room allocations for all staff on a daily basis
- Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure all guest requests are met
- Training and supervision of employees, laundry operations, room attending and public area cleaning
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Hotel / Resort experience is desirable
- Proven ability to learn & adapt quickly
- Efficient time management skills and able to juggle multiple tasks.
- Enjoy working with a diverse team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a 7 day week rotating roster including, weekends and public holidays.
