About Bric Housing
Bric Housing is a non-profit community housing organisation that provides secure and affordable homes for people in our community facing disadvantage. Our vision is much bigger than providing a house for our tenants but offering a home, a place they can build their life and see all the possibilities of their future. 
At present we manage over 950 tenancies across the inner and outer northern suburbs of Brisbane, as well as Redcliffe and Caboolture delivering Customer Service and Tenancy Management and Asset Services.

About the role
As the Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for the delivery of first-class customer service, managing enquiries received through various communication channels.  Seeking to achieve first time resolution for customer enquiries and tasks linked to provision of information, offer advice on tenancy matters, and facilitate requests for maintenance and asset management services.
Managing services areas such rent and non-rent debt including rent payments, rent reviews, responsive repairs, housing, and asset administration supports. 
With your positive attitude and customer centric approach, you will effectively manage enquiries that support Bric in driving our obligations as a Community Housing Provider and help our customers to sustain their tenancy successfully. 

About You
You will have experience within the human services sector, managing complex situations, have a resilient and ‘can do’ approach, with a flair for great customer service. You are comfortable working with people from all cultures and backgrounds, including varying socio-economic statuses and lifestyle choices. Your customer centric approach and acquired skills and experience allow you to build rapport and trust with the customer whilst also being able to effectively resolve any customer complaints or conflict as they arise. You also possess the following attributes and skills that will allow you to thrive in this role.
• Empathetic
• Excellent communicator both verbally and written.
• Experienced in problem solving and critical thinking skills, enabling you to make required decisions. 
• Experienced in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques. 
• Active Listener
• Conscientious 
• Great time management skills with good attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
• Passion for continual learning and growth.

You will also have:
• 2+ years’ experience in a customer service role or human services sector.
• Experience in the community services sector (desirable).

*It is a requirement of this position that applicants who apply must have, or be willing to apply for, a valid National Police Check.
