Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to our Projects and workforce, ensuring the implementation of effective HR strategies, policies, and practices that align with our company's objectives. This role is integral to fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee engagement and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, and managing onboarding.
- Oversee employee relations, addressing grievances and disciplinary matters in a fair and consistent manner.
- Support performance management processes, including appraisals and development plans.
- Injury management and return to work coordinating
- Administer employee benefits and payroll in collaboration with the finance department.
- Coordinate and deliver training and development programs.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports for management review.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar role, preferably within the construction or civil infrastructure industry.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
