HR Business Partner
The role:
Working as a member of the Human Resources (HR) team, this position will be responsible for the development and implementation of HR initiatives in a range of people management areas to assist Menzies in achieving its strategic objectives through maximising the capability and potential of its workforce. Under the guidance of the HR Manager, this position will contribute to the management of HR policy framework, equity, diversity & inclusion efforts, succession planning and retention strategies. The role will support senior leaders with plans and recommendations that improve performance, development, and employee experience.
Based in Darwin, the incumbent will be part of a small human resources team at Menzies.
About you:
As an experienced HR Business Partner, you will possess either postgraduate qualifications and extensive HR and learning and development experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training in HR.
You also have:
prior experience in leading the implementation of key HR initiatives in mid to large organisations with project management and evaluation capability and demonstrated capacity to coach senior manager.
sound generalist knowledge across the range of HR practice including recruitment and selection, performance management, organisational development, and equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
understanding of legal and regulatory requirements including familiarity with the enterprise bargaining process.
extensive experience in handling employment matters including performance, conduct, grievance and investigation processes effectively.
demonstrated ability to work under broad direction, both autonomously and within a team, and be proactive in providing solutions to complex HR matters.
ability to negotiate, consult, influence and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders at various levels.

The Benefits:
Attractive salary package $137,167 to $148,386 including super and salary packaging benefits (base salary $110,478 to $120,319)
Option to increase employer superannuation contribution to 14%
Salary Packaging - $15,900 salary packing component plus $2,650 meal entertainment card
6 weeks annual leave
