Do you have excellent people management experience as well as excellent HR / IR skills and knowledge?
We are an established HR Consulting business with a difference. We provide our clients with practical, down to earth HR support and advice and they love our approach. Celebrating 16 years this year, clients keep coming and we keep growing!
We are seeking a really special person to join our small (but fun, friendly and totally awesome) team as an HR Professional. We are not looking for a typical HR person– we are seeking someone who has experience managing people & results in a business unit (not HR) and who also has a solid level of HR/IR knowledge. Our clients love us because we’ve had the same experiences they are having; we’ve had to have the difficult conversations, we’ve had to deal with issues ourselves and now we share our experience and knowledge with them.
Our clients are mostly private small and medium business (15-100 staff) and are generally not corporate. This means that every day is different, and this is quite possibly one of the most rewarding, interesting and challenging HR roles you could hope for! The type of stuff you’ll be doing includes:
- Working at a range of client’s premises as an embedded HR Advisor
- Providing HR and IR advice to our clients via phone, email and face to face
- Working on recruitment projects for our clients
- Creating a range of customised HR documents for clients as required including contracts, position descriptions, policies, letters, performance improvement plans etc
In order for us to think you could be the perfect fit, you will demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience managing teams of people (not HR teams) and understand the people and oeprational issues that businesses face
- Excellent HR skills and some IR knowledge
- Creative ideas and think outside the box when providing advice
- A down to earth, practical and direct nature with great influencing skills
- A strong work ethic and ability to think on your feet
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- A current driver’s license and reliable car
- A desire to be part of a totally awesome, welcoming and supportive team
You might be wondering what’s in it for you:
- A friendly and positive work environment with a team who cares about our clients and about you
- Varied and exciting role where each day is different, and be exposed to a really broad range of issues
- The ability to work with all different clients in a range of interesting industries
