Work type

Part time, 22.8 hours per week. 3 full days or 5 shorter days. 

12-month contract, with possibility of extension.

What you’ll do

  • Induct and onboard new staff into the SDN Village and conduct regular visits to their sites
  • Conduct induction sessions to help new starters familiarise themselves with SDN Practices, Policies, Procedures and SDN’s culture
  • Monitor, report and analyse onboarding outcomes to ensure it is achieving its objectives, and regularly update content in line with feedback to ensure continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain a wide range of onboarding resources, materials and innovative solutions to ensure access to relevant and engaging information
  • Provide a range of support services on an individual basis as required, including meeting on a regular basis to ensure new employees feel valued and supported
  • Ensure staff who are 'actively working towards' qualifications are making satisfactory progress in conjunction with the Student and Trainee Liaison and Teacher Accreditation Consultant
  • Work with the People Team and participate in projects to support SDN goals and continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Perform any other duties as requested by your manager consistent with the position.

Who you are 

  • Tertiary qualifications or experience in Human Resources or Education
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to foster a learning culture, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of the Early Childhood sector (desirable)
  • Experience in developing resources and materials 
  • Capacity to engage constructively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities to achieve high quality outcomes
  • Working with Children’s Check (NSW) clearance
  • Valid driving licence and comprehensive car insurance (required)
