The Role
Based in our brand-new distribution centre in Truganina, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR & Recruitment Co-ordinator to join the team on a part time basis, working 3 days per week.
As the HR & Recruitment Co-ordinator, you will work closely with the DC Operations Manager to recruit and onboard a brand new team for our new facility. You will lead the recruitment process by sourcing new employees, coordinating interviews, and negotiating contracts. Additionally, you will implement HR initiatives and provide advice and solutions in establishing this facility. Our strong focus on safety will require you to support and coach managers and leaders on people matters. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining this culture while ensuring the success of our new facility.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Lead the recruitment process and coordinate interviews
- Lead recruitment advertising campaigns to raise awareness of potential jobs
- Provide HR advice and solutions for establishing the new facility
- Support and coach managers and leaders on people matters with a strong focus on safety
- Coordinate the recruitment of a casual workforce
- Develop and deliver onboarding programs for new starters
- Advise on processes related to probation, performance, workplace issues, and people management
- Review and adapt current HR policies and procedures for a distribution centre environment
Required skills and qualifications:
- Relevant degree with 5+ years of experience in HR
- Previous experience in a distribution centre or similar environment
- Sound judgement, discretion, and confidentiality
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety
- Collaborative and cooperative team player
- Organised and problem-solving multitasker
- Self-motivated and self-managed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and influence decisions across functions
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think ‘outside the box’
