About the Opportunity
We have recently commissioned a Tube Laser cutter and are seeking an engaged, energetic and experienced operator to join our great team in Maryborough. The primary function of this role is to effectively and efficiently operate the laser cutter which includes:
• Set up and operate the CNC laser cutting machine to cut, shape, and trim metal components according to specifications
• Interpret technical drawings to determine machine settings and tooling requirements
• Monitor machine operation, making necessary adjustments to ensure precision and quality of the finished product
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and meet deadlines
• Adhere to safety expectations and maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Build laser operating capability within the Bendpro team.
About You
You will:
• Have a background in manufacturing or a related industry background
• Have previous experience operating a CNC Laser Cutting Machine
• Be proficient in the reading and understanding of technical drawings
• Have the capability to load and unload material with forklifts and overhead cranes preferred but not necessary
• Have experience ensuring component quality
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
• Have an unwavering commitment to safety
• Have competent computer skills – Cad skills preferred; Machine runs TUBEPRO software predominately
• Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience will be highly regarded
• Have the physical ability to lift and move materials
• Hold a current Australian forklift licence (preferred but not necessary).
