About the role
Working within the People and Culture Branch, the HRIS Coordinator will be an advocate for advancing processes to drive greater efficiencies within Council. Leading a small team of HRIS Officers this role will build capacity for continuous improvement.
The Human Resources Operations Program within the People and Culture Branch provides comprehensive operational support for our people throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This encompasses talent attraction and acquisition, management of employee and position data, interpretation and guidance on industrial instruments, benefits administration and proactive support and advise on employee relations. Additionally, the team facilitates the implementation of people strategies to drive operational effectiveness.
Elements of the role include:
- Leadership of the HRIS function to ensure our people are supported and challenged.
- Overseeing the escalation of technical queries and timely and accurate troubleshooting to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Identification and implementation of improvement opportunities to realise process efficiencies.
- Effective collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a professional customer-focused service delivery.
Ideally, you will have:
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience in HRIS administration and management processes.
- A passion for leading a team to deliver outstanding outcomes for Council.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to quickly build collaborative relationships.
- A high level of attention to detail with the ability to analyse information and provide effective solutions.
