We are looking for a HSE Advisor, reporting directly & in liaison with the Managing Director and Operations Manager, who plays a crucial role in a dynamic phase of company growth and transformation in the drilling market. Responsibilities include overseeing Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ&T) compliance, managing injury and workers' compensation processes, maintaining company-wide training records, and contributing to a positive company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a contact for all HSE compliance needs, including site requirements and pre-employment medical evaluations.
- Ensure efficient maintenance of systems for contractual and operational obligations.
- Manage company compliance registers, training matrices, and safety statistics databases.
- Act as the Injury Management Coordinator, staying informed on WHS requirements and Workers Compensation legislation.
- Implement Return to Work Programs and educate field personnel on incident reporting and injury management.
- Maintain relationships with medical practitioners and clinics, liaise with insurers and brokers for workers' compensation claims.
- Ensure company Policies and Procedures are adhered to by all staff.
- Support the Operations Manager in maintaining and improving company culture through safety initiatives.
- Liaise on personnel movements, emergency response, and administrative support for field personnel.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager on WHS and internal auditing systems.
- Proactively promote the company through professional relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure personnel are appropriately trained in equipment use and maintenance.
- Collate personnel performance, training, and assessments, assisting in disciplinary actions when required.
- Previous OHS experience, preferably in the mining industry.
- Proven work history in the drilling industry is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills.
- Cert IV in OHS as a minimum.
- Cert IV in training and assessment is desirable.
- Flexibility, multitasking, and prioritization.
- Proficient in various office disciplines.
- Motivated for field visits with a positive attitude towards TDA and crew development.
