KAEFER Integrated Services are currently looking for a HSE ADVISOR for a significant and long-term project based in South Australia. This role will be FIFO working EITHER 2:1 OR 3:1 roster. POH any capital city in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring the effectiveness of the HSE practices used on site to protect KAEFER personnel, property and the environment
- Assist Site Supervision in the delivery of a safe workplace
- Promote and review the effectiveness of the SMART Choices program
- Maintain HSE records for report preparation monthly
- Conduct HSE incident investigations in preparation for review by the Project Manager and HSE Manager
- Assist and coach KAEFER personnel in the completion of allocated Key Performance Indicators Including Loss Prevention Inspections
- Monitor work activities to ensure they are carried out in accordance with relevant THA’s and the overarching Project Risk Assessment
- Support the implementation of SMART Choices across the project
- Conduct Field Leadership Interactions
About You
- Demonstrated experience as a HSE Advisor ideally having worked for a Contractor in mining, oil & gas or heavy industry in construction
- You resume will clearly outline your experience working in the construction industry (preferably mining) in Australia along with your knowledge of HSE regulations specific to the mining industry and knowledge of mining equipment, processes and hazards to effectively assess and mitigate risks
- Qualifications such as a Cert IV in OHS, Environmental Science or a related field
- Strong problem solving skills to address safety issues and recommend solutions
- Able to develop and implement safety policies & procedures in compliance with industry standards
- A proactive and results oriented mindset committed to promoting a culture of safety within the project
