Job description

CHEP helps move more goods to more people, in more places than any other organization on earth via our 300 million pallets, crates and containers. We employ 11,000 people and operate in more than 55 countries. Through our pioneering and sustainable share-and-reuse business model, the world's biggest brands trust us to help them transport their goods more efficiently, safely and with less environmental impact.

What does that mean for you? You'll join an international organization big enough to take you anywhere, and small enough to get you there sooner. You'll help change how goods get to market and contribute to global sustainability. You'll be empowered to bring your authentic self to work and be surrounded by diverse and driven professionals. And you can maximize your work-life balance and flexibility through our Hybrid Work Model.

About the job

Are you an experienced instructional designer and/or course developer with proficiency in tools like Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline? This might be the opportunity you are looking for!

As a key member of the Health, Safety and Environment team, you will lead a project to review, update and create safety-focused eLearning modules using sound adult learning principles and seamlessly integrated multimedia, working in collaboration with key stakeholders and our external eLearning content agency. This role will be based at our brand-new office in Macquarie Park and reports directly to the HSE Manager Australia. We offer flexible/hybrid working. This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Develop content for engaging eLearning modules to deliver a quality digital learning experience.
  • Elevate eLearning content to improve learners' engagement.
  • Design and develop eLearning course content that aligns with learning objectives alongside instructional designers and other eLearning developers to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with the e-learning development team to ensure timely delivery of e-learning courses.
  • Lead, liaise, manage and work with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand capability development needs and priorities required to develop and implement appropriate and effective eLearning training solutions.
  • Craft story boards that map out the flow and functionality of e-learning modules.
  • Implementing SCORM standards to ensure compatibility with learning management systems (LMS).

We value creativity, collaboration, and curiosity, and we are looking for someone who shares these values and can lead the delivery of this important project.

What will ensure your success:

  • Tertiary qualifications in instructional design, information technology or a related field.
  • Proficiency in tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Some exposure to workplace safety best practice would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Solid experience in course development and/or instructional design.
  • Strong communication skills and expertise in learning design to create effective online education materials.
  • Demonstrated skills in video editing, graphic design, and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in administering an LMS, including the ability to analyse data, report on completion rates, and develop recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Articulate or other authoring tools/software to design, update and evaluate sophisticated online learning content.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and the creation and curation of online learning courses, in collaboration with subject matter experts.

If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity with an innovative company where you are empowered to make a difference, we want to hear from you!
