HSE Manager – Solar Farm – Regional NSW site Based role – Short Term Contract
About Company
Our client are an international EPC contractor in renewable energy with experience in delivering successful projects in the Australian market.
About the Role
Based on-site, you will work closely with the project delivery team to coordinate the implementation of robust WHS policies to a major Solar Farm installation project. You will liaise with direct staff, sub-contractors and suppliers helping to ensure compliance to Health & Safety and Environment procedures and cultivate a safety-first culture on site
Role and Responsibilities

• Provision of input into lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• Providing environmental, safety, and occupational health support, assistance, and guidance to the Service Teams on a daily basis, and the wider business as required.
• Implementing the requirements of the Service Site EHS plan and company procedures at the site level.
• Monitoring compliance with company procedures and key performance indicators through inspections, audits, and reviews.
• Preparation of EHS reporting to ensure internal and external compliance for service sites on performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting the company with monitoring and reporting on adherence to the company and Customer quality requirements for Service sites.
• Conducting analysis and reports on changes to relevant EHS State and Federal laws and regulations and providing advice and support on subsequent changes for internal standards.
• Management of post-incident and incident investigation in accordance with Site EHS Plans and legislative requirements.
• Maintenance of EHS and Quality records including risk and aspect registers

Skills & Experience

• Large scale Solar Farm experience is essential
• Ideally tertiary qualification in HSE / management
• Experience in setting up HSE systems for large projects
• Good understanding of project management systems
• HSE management experience with a number of direct reports
• Comfortable reporting to both a corporate and project level
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach
