The role of the LIBESS HSE Manager involves overseeing the development, execution, and improvement of the project’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management which will include change initiatives, streamline processes, and ensure adherence to HSE regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize comprehensive systems knowledge to develop and implement robust health and safety protocols tailored to the battery storage project.
- Lead and inspire teams to adhere to strict safety standards, ensuring a culture of safety excellence throughout all project phases.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of team dynamics and individual motivations to effectively manage and support personnel in achieving safety objectives.
- Employ a no-nonsense approach to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks promptly.
- Engage in proactive stakeholder management, fostering positive relationships with all project stakeholders to promote a collective commitment to safety.
- Proven experience in health and safety management within the energy or construction sector, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety systems, regulations, and best practices applicable to battery storage projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower teams to prioritize safety.
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
