Its operations have a significant economic impact on the local community and contribute to the overall economy of Victoria and Australia.
The Opportunity
The HSE Managerwill provide key leadership and decision-making to their direct reports across health, safety and environment. This person will report directly into the GM on site, and work alongside the other department managers.
This position is a Monday – Friday position, with flexible working arrangements. Residential to the operations is important. It is a coastal location in the Southwest coastline corridor within the state of VIC.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enable the HSE team,
- Lead HS systems projects,
- Simplify HSE controls and processes for the department moving forward,
- Continuous improvement to the HSMS,
- Make important hiring decisions within an expanding HSE department,
- Working collaboratively with other department managers,
- Building a strong relationship and communicating effectively on matters to the GM.
- Relevant qualifications in health, safety and/or environmental,
- Substantial experience managing an HST/E department (preferable in/across site-based operations),
- Prolonged mineral processing and/or heavy industrial experience at HSET Manager/Superintendent-level,
- A dedicated commitment to site/operations i.e. this is not a corporate role,
- Must have full AU working rights and live/reside residentially to the operation/facilities.
