Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

We're looking for a HSE Systems and Change Manager to join our Snowy 2.0 project team, overseeing the development, implementation, and enhancement of the project's Health, Safety, and Environment management systems with a safety differently approach. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead change initiatives, optimise processes, and ensure the project's compliance with HSE regulations and standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and facilitate change management processes related to HSE initiatives and improvements 

• Regularly review and update HSE policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

• Coaching, mentoring and practical implementation of Risk Management processes

• Ensuring Safety Alerts and final investigation learnings Alerts are distributed efficiently

• Ensure the project's compliance with all applicable HSE laws and regulations.

• Provide leadership, coaching and education ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental objectives and deliverables are achieved.

We're looking for someone with:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (essential)

• Proven experience in HSE management, change management, and process improvement.

• In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, and standards.

• ICAM lead investigation qualification and experience (essential)

• Demonstrated experience in developing high performance work teams

• Experience in HSE Management System review and implementation, including behavioural based conversations and initiatives and consultation processes

• Risk Management expertise including experience with Bow Tie development and Major Hazards program implementation
