The Opportunity
Evolve Safety is teaming up with an engineering consultancy to find a HSEQ Advisor to commence on an immediate basis. This position will be for around 3 - 6 months with the view to go permanent. This role will be based in the Adelaide CBD.
The Role
Reporting into the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and contractors out on site, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will be familiar with, HSEQ systems, compliance, auditing and strategic initiatives for businesses.
- Maintenance of the HSEQ systems company wide.
- Monitor and maintain a safe work environment for all employees and contractors on site.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop plans to mitigate them.
- Manage and maintain safety records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain a strong safety culture throughout the organisation by promoting safe work practices
To be successful you must bring:
- Cert IV OHS qualification
- Minimum of 5-6 years in similar roles
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate safety messages to employees and contractors at all levels of the organisation
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective strategies to mitigate safety risks
- Ability to start immediately (Max 2 weeks' notice)
