The reason for this role:

The Health Safety & Quality Advisor will be integral in the daily management and administration of health and safety requirements on our NSW Operational sites. Your typical tasks will include, daily monitoring of all workers including contractors, managing site access including inductions, inspections, audits, training as well as verifying compliance of work against approved safety management plans and systems of work and assisting the HSEQ Manager and Site Manager as required. 

What you will be doing?

The HSEQ Advisor for NSW will be required to:

  • Ensure contractors meet WHS requirements. 
  • Conduct workplace inspections to ensure that all works have the required HSE documentation in place such as permits, JSEA and SWMS. 
  • Conduct incident investigations and ensure associated actions are monitored and closed out.
  • Encourage hazard reporting and monitor close out of preventative actions. 
  • Ensure all workers are trained and competent for the work they are doing. 
  • Provide HSE advice and support. 
  • Promote safe working behaviours and culture. 
  • Ensure safety rules are understood and followed.         
  • Ensure that Goldwind’s established health, safety and environmental management systems are followed.
  • Ensure compliance to WHS obligations are monitored and completed when required.
  • Ensure obligations are being met in relation to WHS acts and regulations. 

What does your background look like?

  • 5+ years’ HSE experience.
  • Internal auditing and action monitoring / close out. Preparing and writing detailed reports.
  • Investigating and reporting safety incidents.
  • Experience implementing HSEQ training programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office software.
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 
  • Sound knowledge of the relevant state Occupational/Workplace Health and Safety Acts and Regulations.
