HSEQ and Training Manager
The Company
Technical Maintenance Support are an independently owned and operated progressive company based in Geraldton, Perth and Kalgoorlie Western Australia.
We conduct a wide variety of specialised services, mostly to fixed plant mining equipment throughout the Midwest, Southwest and Pilbara.
The Role
In order to support our company’s vision for future development we are seeking the skills of a suitably qualified HSEQ and Training Manager to be based in our Perth office. The HSEQ and Training Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management, employee training, incident investigation, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality excellence throughout the organisation.
General Responsibilities
- Management and continual improvement of the existing OH&S, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
- Maintenance of the Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems to ISO 9001, AS 4801 and ISO 14001 certification
- Setting; analysing; monitoring; and reporting on; the performance of the companies’ safety, quality and environmental management systems.
- Development and implementation of project specific Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Plans.
- Ensuring the workplace complies with health, safety & environmental legislation and client requirements.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with subcontractors, clients and regulatory bodies.
- Deployment and performance management of project safety supervisors.
Knowledge, Training & Experience Required
- Preferred completion of approved Occupational Health and Safety curriculum combined with experience in applying this knowledge in a particular industrial environment.
- Requires understanding of law in regard to industrial relations and workers’ compensation matters.
- Would generally hold a senior first-aid certificate or be conversant with emergency accident procedures.
- Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessing (TAA)
- Preferred Diploma in OHS&E
- WorkSafe Assessor qualifications in High Risk Licencing
Roster
- Monday - Friday 7am-4pm, site visits will be required
- Free parking provided, Laptop and phone supplied
- Company vehicle supplied
