HSEQ Coordinator | Rail Project | Rockhampton

SSA Group has partnered with a leading Australian civil infrastructure specialist. We are looking to speak with a HSEQ coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, extremely proactive safety professional with good administrative experience.
What will your new responsibilities be?

• Provide support, advice, and direction to the project team to ensure compliance with the IMS's safety, quality, and environmental components, as well as standards, legislation, and guidelines.
• Provide administrative support for the project, such as invoicing and managing facilities, consumables, and on-site amenities.
• Encourage a "safety-first" mindset and manner of thinking by sharing best practices and hosting regular training and development sessions.
• Provide health and safety training and presentations, and communicate any improvements or lessons gained.
• When necessary, perform ICAM-compliant accidents, incidents, and near-miss investigations to uncover the root causes of problems and provide solutions, opportunities for improvement, or new preventative methods.

What do you need to be a successful candidate?

• 5 years relevant experience in a HSEQ Role
• RIW Card and Queensland Rail Experience are essential
• Relevant Qualification: Minimum CERT IV
• Competent interpersonal communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Strong administrative skills.
