Due to recent business growth, we are currently seeking a dynamic multi-tasking HSEQ Coordinator to join our team based at our North Fremantle on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the National WHS Manager, you will be an integral part of our WA team, forging strong connections with our frontline leadership teams. You will work closely with other passionate health, safety, and wellbeing advocates to champion a safe and positive workplace culture at all levels of our business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all incidents are reported, investigated and appropriate actions developed and deployed
- Coordinate a workplace health and safety committee, facilitate safety meetings, and coordinate and monitor actions plan outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in workplace health, safety & Quality
- Conduct safety induction training and on boarding
- Assist the Senior Leadership Team to identify, develop and implement safety training needs, in conjunction with the Training and Development Officer
- Work Cover case management
- Provide robust safety advice based on sound knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations, Codes and Standards
- Conduct gap analysis against legislation and best practice and implement actions and processes to rectify gaps identified
- Ensure compliance with internal and external auditing requirements, ensuring that all non-conformances and corrective actions are effectively closed within agreed timeframes
- Ensure emergency management and fire safety plans are kept up to date
- Conduct and document risk assessments and communicate results to management for action
- Engage the team to identify and report hazards, assess risks and implement controls
- Develop safe operating procedures and monitor adherence to these
About You
- Minimum 5yrs experience within the Transport and Logistic industry, undertaking a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills, whilst also being able to multitask at a high standard.
- Strong understanding of Safety Legislation & Quality principles requirements
- Ability to work both autonomously as well as with other members of the company to achieve targets and KPI’s.
- Ability to problem solve while working in a fast pace, changing environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
- Willingness to learn, adapt and fill roles where required.
