The Company

Your Role
You’ll be an integral part of the leadership team and manage the HSEQ systems throughout the organisation, from drivers to executive personnel. Ensuring you have a sound understanding of relevant industry-related changes to legislation, will see you succeed as the face of the company in HSEQ-related matters. Your duties and responsibilities will require you to;
  • Understand and achieve HSEQ targets for the national business and ensure the HSEQ system, including document management, is relevant and current
  • Ensure that you, and all personnel, understand and comply with policies and procedures set by key stakeholders and clients on their site and that of your own
  • Develop, manage and execute relevant HSEQ systems incorporating all requirements into a user-friendly platform
  • Manage the training provided by the organisation including refresher training, inductions and external training courses
  • Ensure that all documentation is managed in line with document management procedures
  • Assist in the writing, implementation and review of all policies, procedures, SWMS, JHAs
  • Organise, manage and participate in emergency drills and training to ensure that employees understand their responsibilities at the time of an emergency
  • Manage inspection and testing procedures for equipment, activities and work sites
  • Manage and conduct audits, both internally and externally according to the schedule
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement such as service, cost and quality
  • Manage incident investigations as required and ensure near-misses are reported immediately
  • Support the company's compliance with ISO including the certification process
  • Manage HSEQ education and continuous service improvement to all personnel
  • Support onboarding and auditing of approved sub-contractors
  • Act as the Management Representative for the Standard and Basic Fatigue Management Systems, to ensure their effective implementation and maintenance
  • Ensure appropriate management of compliance for drivers, client staff and parties in the chain of responsibility
  • Stay up to date with compliance and HSE software and technology trends, and implement tools that enhance tracking, communication, and overall efficiency
  • Actively participate in the staff performance review process
Other Details
The position is Full-time and permanent and offers a competitive remuneration package. Occasional travel is required across various client sites to review and manage site-related HSEQ matters. About You
  • An experienced HSEQ professional, currently a rising HSEQ Coordinator or an existing HSEQ Manager
  • You have a likeminded and genuine desire to ensure workers and their families are safe
  • You have HSEQ responsibilities in high-risk environments such as Oil, Gas & Mining, Linehaul Operations or Building & Construction
  • You are a positive influence and a hands-on professional across all HSEQ tasks
  • You are confident and willing to represent the company in client-facing appointments
  • You have relevant Tertiary Qualifications, current driver’s licence and police clearance
  • You have advanced computer skills and experience in developing HSEQ Management systems
